After much thought I have decided to start this group in order to socialize my dogs more, and hope other will do the same for the social well being of their furry children.  Its fun for us and the dogs!              

PAWS is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1962 by Westport, Connecticut resident Betty Long to rescue homeless dogs and place them in permanent homes. In the early 1980s, our rescue efforts were expanded to include cats. PAWS rescues & rehomes approximately 115 dogs and 435 cats annually. Many of the dogs faced euthanasia at local pounds and most of the cats that we help are strays and abandoned cats that roam our streets. Free puppy playgroup in fenced-in backyard; supervised by professional dog behaviorist.  For clients of Westport Dog Training, LLC and other area dog owners.  This playgroup gives puppies a chance to socialize with their peers, and owners will be delighted to take home a tired puppy.  Puppies should be two to six months of age, up-to-date with vaccinations, and friendly towards other puppies and people.  No metal collars or shock collars, please.

I have a mini Aussie and I'm looking for other Aussie/Collie owners to get together at the dog park. I'm flexible about which park to attend. My dog is Xander and he loves to run around in circles and play with other high energy dogs. If you have a similar dog, let's get a play date going!

Puppy Meet Up is open to all puppies, regardless of breed, under 18 weeks old whether or not your puppy is enrolled in classes with Best Friends Pet Care. Our free puppy meet up provides a safe environment where your puppy can get the important socialization he needs, in a controlled and friendly environment, supervised by a behavioral dog trainer. Your puppy will develop important social skills while having a great time and burning off some energy!
