I live in the East Passyunk area and love the Christopher Columbus dog park, but just about all the people who go are part of a couple. I am looking to start a group for singles & their dogs and have dog park outtings, like dining outside in nice weather, walks in the park, trips to the beach, trips to the Bottle Shop (yep, they allow dogs!!), and letting our dogs run in the park.

Working somewhat unconventional hours, I have had some difficulty getting involved in other dog-oriented meetups, much to my puggle's dismay. I'm hoping to meet other dog parents with daytime availability for our animals to play.

I would love for my mini dachshund Frankie to meet and play with other small dogs. Since December 2011 we have met every Saturday from noon to 3pm to protest the sale of puppies from puppy mills at We Love Pets, a pet store in the shopping center at Baltimore Pike and Providence Road (Route 252). We try to educate the public about the evils of puppy mills and the pet stores that sell puppies from puppy mills. We feel that we are making great progress and many people thank us for our efforts.
